Hello, and welcome!
I'm Krissy. I'm a mid-twenties (slightly nerdy) graduate student studying biochemistry. I spend much of my time in the lab, and the remaining hours busy with ballet, swimming, tennis, reading, cooking, hanging with friends, eating (a bit too much), and whatever else suits my fancy.
Over the last couple years as a grad student the pounds have been creeping on. But, I've decided it's time to put a stop to the slow weight climb, and get back to my pre-grad school weight. To keep myself honest, I've decided to share it with all of you. Here you'll find my successes and setbacks on this journey, maybe you'll learn a thing or two, and hopefully you'll teach and inspire me as well.
So here's the goal:
Height: 5'9''
Start Weight: 180lbs
Goal Weight: 150lbs
Goal Date: 6-30-2013
As a grad student, both time and money are limited. And, as a scientist, I don't believe in miracle pills or fad diets. So, I'm giving myself a year to reach my goal weight, no starving involved. The plan is to eat mostly healthy homemade food (cheaper and healthier), do exercise I enjoy as often as possible, keep a food journal (I've got to keep myself honest), quit drinking soda, and be patient.
Look around, comment, enjoy, and consider joining me in my weight loss journey!
Krissy
Good luck to you! We can do it! :)
ReplyDeleteMy highest weight was 178 but I'm only 5'3" tall so I was quite large. Good luck with your plan to eat healthy and exercise. :)
