Must Have Pantry Items

I'm a busy procrastinator and often find myself trying to whip up a meal, and finding I don't have everything I need. So, here is a list of things I try to always keep stocked so that I can whip up a nutritious meal or snack at a moment's notice. In no particular order...

  1. Almonds
  2. Whole wheat bread
  3. Brown rice
  4. Whole wheat pasta
  5. Hard boiled eggs
  6. Broccoli- frozen or fresh
  7. Bananas
  8. Apples
  9. Plain non-fat yogurt
  10. Skim milk
  11. Black beans
  12. Garbanzo beans
  13. Chopped onion (frozen)
  14. Oatmeal
  15. Reduced fat cheese sticks
  16. Celery
  17. Peanut Butter
  18. Lentils
  19. Raisins
  20. Spinach
  21. Cooked chicken breast (fresh or frozen)
